Seascapes, Switchbacks and Safaris – January 2025

We just got back from our latest Seascapes, Switchbacks and Safaris Tour! This ride from Cape Town to Kruger National Park is one of our most popular motorcycle tours in South Africa, and never disappoints. Our 9 guests from Australia, USA and Europe had a fantastic, mostly uneventful, ride. Stunning scenery every day, exciting riding and the full range of truly South African spectacular landscapes, delicious food, comfortable and welcoming places to stay, diverse climates and incredible mountain passes. The weather was perfect too. Some of our highlights were a 4 X 4 ride up Sani Pass, a beer at the highest pub in Africa, and unique and fascinating Lion and Elephant sightings in Addo Elephant Park and more at Kruger National Park. We also popped in at Camdeboo National Park in the Eastern Cape. We had a dedicated film crew to capture some of the awesomeness of this tour, and our Furry Mascot, Kobe, came along for the ride (and walk and swim wherever there was water along the way).

How we end most of our riding days - with a cold beer!

One of our stops along the way is the Nelson Mandela Capture site along the Midlands Meander in KwaZulu Natal.

This trip is not complete without the obligatory Milkshake stop at Diesl and Creme in Barrydale.

The famous Map of Africa near Wilderness in the Western Cape.

Going up Sani Pass is not small feat! Going down is a whole other story.

We make sure there is at least one good South African braai (barbecue) along the way.

Here is a sneak peak at the start of a YouTube series following this tour from Cape Town to the Kruger National Park.
