Our motorcycle adventures started in 2007 with an ancient Kawasaki KLR650 that Andrew rebuilt and rode 30000 kilometers from Vancouver, Canada across Asia & Africa to Cape Town, South Africa

In 2014 Andrew set out with a Canadian friend on a 7000km ride from Cape Town to Kigali. We had such fun we decided to launch Ride Down South to offer an affordable way for more people to ride motorcycles in Africa. We slowly built up a fleet of classic Honda Africa Twin XRV750 motorcycles
Forging an epic African motorcycle tour
Along the way we've stayed at some terrible lodges, ridden with slow riders and arrived home well after dark. We've wandered down dead-ends, we've sat through 5-hour border crossings and dealt with smashed engines in the middle of Malawi.
